Methazole Review

Status: Review Completed

In 1995 the APVMA (formerly the NRA) began a special review of methazole because of toxicological concerns. On 31 March 1996 the APVMA withdrew the Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for methazole and cancelled the registration of all products containing methazole.

The APVMA’s concerns with methazole remain and it will not consider the registration of any product containing methazole unless all the concerns identified in the review are fully addressed. Read a full history of the review.
