The APVMA takes enforcement of the Agvet Code very seriously and aims to prosocute all breaches of the code.

Manual of Requirements and Guidelines (MORAG)
MORAG sets out the requirements and guidelines for registering veterinary and agricultural products in Australia.
Product Registration
Before an agricultural and veterinary chemical product can be legally supplied, sold, or used in Australia it must be registered by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA).
Active Constituents
Active constituents are the substance/s in an agvet chemical product primarily responsible for a product's biological or other effects. They must be approved either before, or at the same time, the product is being registered.
Fees and Levies
The APVMA charges annual fees and levies for registered products and the value of product sales in a financial year.
Public Consultation
The APVMA seeks input from interested stakeholders throughout the chemical registration and review processes as well as during the development of program reforms.
Data Protection, Early Disclosure and Transparency Provisions
The data protection, early disclosure (application summary) and transparency (advice summaries) provisions of the AgVet Code requires certain information and items to be included with applications.
Exporting Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals
A certificate for export of chemical product is a document that provides information about an agricultural or veterinary chemical product, a manufacturing site or an active constituent for export purposes.
Manufacture of Veterinary Chemicals
Veterinary chemical products are subject to a registration process that requires them to be fit for their intended use and to not place treated animals or users at risk due to inadequate safety, quality or efficacy. Veterinary chemical products must be manufactured in such a way that they comply with their registered particulars and that there is batch-to-batch consistency.
